What to check before choosing a gift
Look at the age guidance and contents of the specific listing, particularly where the book includes more detailed illustrations. Consider adding pencils or crayons if the recipient doesn't already have supplies, and check Amazon's current paperback price and delivery estimate before ordering.
A creative gift without a big occasion
A colouring book also works well as part of a rainy-day activity pack: a book, a handful of pencils and a note inviting the recipient to make up their own stories. The important part isn't an expensive gift set, but matching the activity to the person.
